Medical Disclaimer
CardioVa is a health tracking tool — not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
1. Not a Medical Device
CardioVa has not been reviewed, cleared, or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) in India, or any other national regulatory authority as a medical device. The App is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
2. Not a Substitute for Professional Medical Advice
Nothing in the App constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI-generated insights, trend summaries, and educational tips are not a substitute for the professional judgement of a licensed physician, nurse, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider.
Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, a reading, a symptom, or a medication. Never disregard professional medical advice, delay in seeking it, or stop a prescribed treatment because of something you have read or seen in CardioVa.
3. Accuracy of User-Entered Data
CardioVa relies on the readings, medications, and other health data that you voluntarily enter. We do not independently verify the accuracy of this data. Incorrect inputs will lead to incorrect insights; you are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
4. Emergency Use
CardioVa is not designed for use in medical emergencies. If you or someone you are caring for is experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (such as 112 in India and the European Union, 911 in the United States, 999 in the United Kingdom) or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on the Emergency Alert feature as your sole means of obtaining emergency assistance.
5. Guideline References
Where CardioVa classifies a reading (for example, "Normal," "Elevated," "High"), the thresholds are based on public guidelines from bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the American Heart Association (AHA), and the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Guidelines evolve; CardioVa's classifications may not always reflect the most recent revisions, and individual clinical context may require different targets set by your own physician.
6. No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Use of the App does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-patient, or any other professional-client relationship between you and CardioVa, its employees, or its contractors.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardioVa and its affiliates shall not be liable for any decisions you or a caregiver make based on information provided by the App, including but not limited to changes to medication, diet, or activity. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.
